The laws of Ukraine stipulate mandatory certification of products and defines certification as the procedure whereby an organization, which is independent from the manufacturer (seller) and consumer (buyer), establishes the conformity of specific products to the existing requirements.

The government of Ukraine maintains and updates from time to time the official list of products, which are subject to mandatory certification.
